All cards below are from the Rider Waite card deck.
Aries
Strength card. Aries, this is a great card to receive as it exudes exactly what it is – strength. This week there’s a plethora of gifts awaiting you – they could be physical, but they most likely are intangible. Perhaps great lessons learned, miracles you’ve been waiting for, or simply your hard working coming to fruition. There’s plenty of distress going on right now, but your courage and strength is really shining through from within and it isn’t going unnoticed. Go the extra mile with someone this week – in the realm of compassion and really make a personal connection with them. It could be anything from sharing how much you love their work, or really giving them your time when they need advice. This week is really about giving back and being positive. The person on the card is using their strength beyond physical strength, to tame and meet the lion – bring this method into your own life.
Taurus
Page of Swords card. Taurus, just like the Page of Swords, you’re looking incredibly triumphant and confident this week. The Page on the card is standing noticeably taller than the mountain beneath him, and with the wind gushing through his hair – nothing can stop him. Allow this week to be one that you really try things you were scared to explore before. This week is one where your confidence and courage will burst through – so definitely explore the shadows!
Gemini
Death card. As explained before, the Death card is not always bad. Alternatively it’s usually 80% good! With big changes comes death. Just how a snake must shed it’s old skin, we must change our old ways. Use this week to in turn use the Death card as an awakening in your life. What about your ways is too wishy washy? Be strong and decisive this week – take a stand and shed off some old ways!
Cancer
Knight of Wands card. Cancer, this is a really positive card. The Knight of Wands is ready for change – and there’s a sense that perhaps so are you? The Knight of Wands exudes the readiness to change location, job, or circumstance. Obviously in the pandemic some things are harder to do than others, but we can always start with our mindsets. What is something that is gluing you down? Your horse is raring to go but something is chaining it down – what is it? There are important tasks you’re eager to complete but also make sure you’re focusing on your wellbeing and your wants and needs.
Leo
Two of Swords card. An interesting card to receive, Leo. This card is pushing you to make a decision. Perhaps there are two or three or more questions or options you’re pondering on. They clearly mean a lot to you as you wouldn’t ponder on them for so long if they didn’t mean a lot. Likewise, make sure you are taking into consideration your own happiness and not always what external factors are wanting. It’s your life too – and your decision is just as important as the other person’s. Don’t let the blindfold stay on your eyes for so long that you let life slip away. Remove the blindfold, make the decision, and see how life unravels positively for you. You’ve done plenty of planning, now’s the time to decide. There might be more clarity when you remove the blindfold. You might actually find that one decision was clearly never the one for you anyways.
Virgo
Moon card. Virgo, it’s time to connect the realms of your subconscious with your conscious. What is amongst the path between the two? Allow the Moon’s light to bring clarity and visible to your dreams. You’re wandering the path to the two towers in the distance, so allow the light in. Don’t fear the howling dogs amongst the path, perhaps these exist as a metaphor of your anxieties and fears. Some hidden truth or reality must be uncovered from within, to allow for positive space to grow. Just the the Moon sitting in the Sun on the card, there is always good in light and light in the good.
Libra
Ten of Swords card. Though this is one of the most ominous cards to receive, remember Libra, that with all ten swords killing this individual – comes Death. If we retract our attention back to the Death card – with all death comes new beginnings. What do the ten swords represent? Usually anxiety, nervousness, dark shadows of our life that we have yet to explore or unravel. There may be an end coming this week, perhaps a realisation of an end of a career, end of a relationship etc. Don’t fear this end, for as mentioned, with all ends come new beginnings – something to be immensely excited about. Financially, things might be tight right now – but as you’ve reached the ultimate ten, something bright and refreshing is on it’s way.
Scorpio
Four of Wands card. Though gatherings and celebrations aren’t really happening currently, this is a great time to express your gratitude and excitement for any grand areas of your life. Perhaps you are in lockdown with your close family or loved ones, use this week to really show your gratefulness of the closeness you’ve been able to receive with them during these times. The four wands do represent a stance of stability and they almost act like pillars. Pillars standing strong, while you and your loved ones can enjoy the gifts. Perhaps the pillars represent strong people in your life? Grandparents perhaps?
Sagittarius
Five of Swords card. Sagittarius, use this week to really avoid having to have the last word. Fights and arguments might be present, but it’s not always important to have the last word. There’s so much isolation right now – this isn’t another area you need to be alone in. Is it always necessary to win? Use this week to let go of too much ego, sit a bit more quietly and retrospectively, and you truly will come out better and with a clearer, lighter mind.
Capricorn
Three of Pentacles card. Congrats Capricorn, this week something has / will come to full fruition. Whether it’s hard work at a job or romance, you’ll feel really completed and joyous. Perhaps working in a team is necessary this week, you all will bring something meaningful and important to the table. Though you’re just as successful on your own, look at people who inspire you by their work ethic and bring them in on a project of yours.
Aquarius
Four of Cups card. Something’s on your mind this week Aquarius. You’re not satisfied with what you already have, and can’t see the great gifts you have in front of you. Perhaps these are gifts you produced yourself and you’re finding it hard to realise the greatness your birthed. Another gift is coming to you this week, just like it’s shown in the card, but you’re vision is fogged by your contemplation of wanting something else. If you get that “something else” will you then be happy? Really consider this.
Pisces
King of Cups card. The King of Cups can resemble an older man in one’s life. Someone who is wise, experienced, and has something so valuable to say. He might be diplomatic and political and this makes his decisions rational. We can become so invested with our own thoughts and wants, that sometimes all we need is a mentor or friend to clear the fog up. It’s important you feel heard and seen, and it might be key this week to explore speaking to this older man and see if anything he says could make clear the fogginess you’re experiencing. Also note, the older man could always be your older self in years time. How do you see yourself in years? How do you want to see yourself, or rather how do you want to leave a mark on something?
