The Ojo de Dios, translated from Spanish to mean “eye of God” is a protectionary emblem traditionally found in Mexican culture. It is created using yarn and sticks often when a baby is born and hung in their room to protect them. The Ojo de Dios is also meant to symbolism knowledge as many believe that it always them to see the unseen and know the unknown.
Separate from its spiritual meanings, the Ojo do Dios is an easy object to make, and the process of creating it is relaxing and therapeutic, as the repetitive motion puts you in an almost meditative state, allowing you to be mindful and free of anxiety or stress.
