Happy Tarot Tuesday! Alas we’re at the end of September already and what a month it has been! With nothing short of emotional tug of wars, internal discoveries, and changing our lives monumentally or in minor ways, September really has been a month of growth. I think getting to the end of such an intense month and few months, is something we all should be proud of. We’re into the Autumnal months, or Summer months if you’re reading from the Southern Hemisphere – regardless, this is a stage of the year where change is still prevalent and internal growth is needed more than ever.

All cards below are from the Rider Waite card deck.
Eight of Wands card. Aries, the eight wands flying through the sky represent change, soaring through old ways, and breaking barriers. This week really be aware of the change you’re creating and likewise take a proactive route this week on your decisions. Venus has been in Leo during the month of September, making it a great month for selfish decisions. This shift ends October 6, so enjoy the last bits of September by really taking your life by the horns again Aries. As the wands are strong, straight facing, and flying fast, it appears you have a strong idea of where things are going in your life or that you’re progressing very well. However, don’t fear if you need to slow down and re-think things, this will only help your journey.
Strength card. Taurus, this card shows a woman patting a ferocious lion’s head, representing the ability to calm and sooth the ego, strength, and raw passions. During this week, focus on using your innate abilities properly. Take your greatest strengths and make sure you use them positively, and not via a way that is driven by ego. There is infinite potential around you and within you – set foot on new passions and goals to be achieved.
The Emperor card. Gemini, you might find this week you’re feeling emotional and as though you can step down from your emotions or rather let people in. As most monarchs rule, their facade is strong, they don’t let others in easily. Maybe this is a sign to explore that this week, Gemini. What is holding you back from being a little more open? A bit more communicative? Are you fearful of how others will perceive you? The Moon will be in Pisces early this week, giving you a chance to indeed explore these emotions and inner feelings without having to try hard.
Six of Pentacles card. This card, Cancer, is truly a card that is of receiving and giving. As an even number of Pentacles, it flows circularly. Sometimes you’ll receive and sometimes you’ll be giving. It acts as a reminder that the balance can change at any point and it’s key to be open to the change. Likewise, with change comes sometimes needing help, be open to asking for help, discussing something hard, and allowing change to be a topic of discussion.
Knight of Swords card. A card representing an eagerness to get going. There is a sense of wanting to stay on top of things and push forward quick and heavy on your upcoming goals / dreams. There really is nothing standing in your way this week Leo. As the card shows, the wind is flowing, your horse is running just as fast as you want them to, and your eyes are set on the goal. As mentioned Venus has been in Leo since the start of September, use the rest of September and early October to explore a bit more new areas in your love life and passions in life. Sparks could definitely fly this week positively or negatively, but don’t shy away from what could evolve.
Page of Wands card. Virgo, this is a great card to receive especially while it is the month of your sign! There is a barren land full of possibilities for you to explore. You seem ready and keen to explore new opportunities, and the small mountains below you mean nothing up against your tenacity to make things happen! Stay ready and prepared this week, explore your interests and don’t let financial issues worry you. If they consistently are on your mind, acknowledge them, but allow your passions to drive you to a place further than these worries.
Queen of Wands card. Libra, this card resembles a lot of optimism. There is growth and good hope in fertility (doesn’t just pertain to bodily fertility, but life’s abundance.) This card also asks you to explore your shadows – what areas of yourself are holding you back from being the best you? There’s so much growth available, that it really is your time to explore the darker bits of yourself and change them if you’re not happy with them.
Seven of Wands card. This card Scorpio is indeed a very interesting one. The man on the card is wearing two different shoes, perhaps pertaining to the idea that he was careless / distracted. Be aware this week Scorpio, that some of your decisions may need extra thought. You’re very tenacious and protective especially over your growth and achievements, but allow this week to really be one where you consciously think hard on each decision and action you take. Frivolousness is not your friend this week.
Seven of Cups card. Sagittarius, this is a very interesting card. Some of the cups the man is receiving are positive and seen as gifts. Others hold dangerous things such as snakes, deceiving masks, dragons etc. Be careful what you wish for this week Sagittarius, and acknowledge that not all gifts are positive to your growth. Some will come as ill wishes, and some will be disguised as gifts. Be careful of illusions this week, and as the Moon is in Pisces early this week, you may be disillusioned by your emotions as well. Stay clear headed.
The Empress card. Capricorn, this card asks you to really revisit your roots. Quite literally, the Empress is so in tune with nature, growth, Mother Earth, and all things good on this land. Really stop and slow down and appreciate the natural gifts Mother Earth has to offer to you. There is an abundance to harvest, and your thoughts are seeds themselves. Make sure what you plant is positive, and has the potential to grow into something beautiful, strong, and true.
King of Pentacles card. Aquarius, it’s not surprise that by receiving this card it reiterates your worries around financial security. The King on the card is very protective over his money, treasures, and achievements. You too have a strong sense of not wanting to waste your money, or time. This card is generally positive, and acts as a reminder that you’re doing well in being cautious with your money. Don’t let it torment you, but rather, continue to be frugal and smart with your funds. It’s all very positive and gearing you towards a more secure future.
The World card. Pisces, this card resembles bringing you onto the next stage of your life. On the card, around the woman shows four Zodiac signs, Leo, Taurus, Aquarius, and Scorpio. All are signs that are fiery, keen to take the reins of their own lives, and really enjoy the ride of what’s to come. This card reiterates that the transition onto the next stage will be one with harmony and balance. The wreath surrounds the woman in a circular manner, resembling the act of successful completion and new beginnings. The woman is stepping through the wreath, ready to begin a new journey without pause. But do allow yourself to rest when you can Pisces, for the journey will not slow down but rather give you what you want.
