A Natural Oil Mask Recipe for Faster Hair Growth

Most of us have been in a situation where we wished our hair was longer. Whether it was because of cutting our hair shorter and regretting the decision or simply because our hair just seems to not grow as fast as it should. Naturally, you can buy commercial hair masks and serums that will supposedly make your hair grow faster. This, however, won’t necessarily happen and you might find yourself spending a lot of money for no result.

The hair treatment described below only requires natural ingredients which you can easily get online or in your local shops. The procedure takes a little bit of time and especially consistency, but it promises results. All the ingredients also feed your hair and make it softer and healthier.

Ingredients

  • vitamin E capsules (with liquid inside)
  • coconut oil
  • castor oil
  • aloe vera gel

Vitamin E prevents hair loss, improves scalp circulation, balances oil production, makes hair shiny and supports a healthy scalp. Coconut oil has vitamins and essential fatty acids that nourish the scalp and help remove sebum build-up from hair follicles. Castor oil is an age-old remedy long used in traditional medicine: it moisturises the scalp, eases dandruff, and leaves your hair smooth and shiny. Aloe vera contains proteolytic enzymes which repair dead skin cells on the scalp. It also acts as a great conditioner, promotes hair growth, prevents itching of the scalp and reduces dandruff.

Procedure

Put some aloe vera and massage it into your scalp. Then take a small bowl and add one tablespoon of castor oil and 2 tablespoons of coconut oil. Hold one vitamin E capsule above the bowl and pierce it with a needle. Empty the liquid into the bowl. Place the bowl into a bigger bowl that you have filled with hot water. Mix well and be careful not to let any water get mixed with the oils. Leave for 5 minutes. Do not try putting it on the stove or into the microwave as it can catch fire.

Dip your fingertips into the mixture and massage into your scalp, just like you did the aloe vera gel. Massage for five minutes. Then lie down and massage your head for three minutes more, moving your fingers from your forehead to the back of your head. This improves circulation. You can also rub some of the mixture into the rest of your hair, especially the tips which often tend to be dry. If your hair is long enough, plait it, otherwise leave it as it is. Keep the mask on your hair the whole night and wash it off in the morning. If you have any remaining oil mixture, keep it in a bottle until you use it again. Do this procedure at least once per week, ideally twice.
